Our purpose
We aim to introduce autonomous vehicles in Switzerland.
Autonomus mobility
Autonomous vehicles will fundamentally change mobility as we know it today.
The mission of the Swiss Association for Autonomous Mobility (SAAM) is to enable the introduction of new mobility technologies and offerings in Switzerland for the common good.
Regulation
SAAM provides a platform to develop guiding principles and regulations around the safe and publicly acceptable introduction of autonomous vehicles.
Social Acceptance
SAAM proves how autonomous vehicles can be sustainably implemented while maintaining public acceptance.
Technology
SAAM explores best technological practices for Swiss conditions and actively works to attract technology companies for state-of-the-art projects in Switzerland.

SmartShuttle
2015-2021
The electric SmartShuttles have been running On-Demand in the Uvrier district of Sion since April. Residents and tourists can book the self-driving vehicles via an app or by phone for their journey free of charge during a trial operation period lasting several months. The combination of self-driving vehicles and On-Demand represents new territory for the partners involved.

MyShuttle
2017-2019
The MyShuttle Project brought an autonomous shuttle into regular traffic in the City of Zug. The chosen routes included speed zones up to 50 km/h and mixed traffic including public transport route buses, regular mixed city traffic, pedestrian crossings, traffic lights and even bike lanes – at the time, one of the most complex environments in Europe for this kind of vehicle.
