CCAM-ERAS is a European initiative dedicated to preparing industries, workers, and educators for the shift to Connected, Cooperative, and Automated Mobility (CCAM). By focusing on skills development, socio-economic impact assessment, and collaborative innovation, the project ensures a smooth and inclusive transition for all stakeholders involved.

The Swiss Association for Autonomous Mobility (SAAM) is proud to participate, alongside many European stakeholders, in the CCAM-ERAS (Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility – Employment Realization through the Acquisition of Skills) project. Launched in June 2024 and running until December 2026, this initiative aims to support the transition to CCAM from a socio-economic perspective.
The CCAM-ERAS project focuses on creating an ecosystem where connected, cooperative, and automated mobility generates new opportunities while preserving the jobs and skills of tomorrow. It seeks to anticipate and prepare all stakeholders—transport, education, industry, and technology—for the inevitable changes brought about by CCAM, particularly in terms of skill adaptation, preventing negative employment impacts, and enhancing innovation.
The fundamental goal is to secure a more inclusive and attractive labor market by developing solutions that guarantee the availability, updating, and scalability of the skills required for CCAM deployment.
Switzerland is already a hub for automated mobility, with several active projects testing real-world applications. As a key partner in CCAM-ERAS, SAAM ensures that the project’s socio-economic research is based on practical experience rather than just theory. By contributing concrete use cases, SAAM helps shape realistic models for the future of CCAM.
Our contributions include:
Through these real-world applications, SAAM helps refine the socio-economic framework of CCAM-ERAS, ensuring that the transition to automated mobility supports workforce adaptation, skills development, and long-term economic resilience.
By actively contributing to this initiative, SAAM reaffirms its commitment to fostering a future of autonomous mobility that is both sustainable and inclusive.
